Dr. Smith earned her BSE from the University of Tennessee and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Tennessee State University. She is certified in Foundational & Advanced Neurological Integrative Dry Needling (IDNT), LSVT BIG for Parkinson’s Disease, and has completed the Manual Therapy Certification coursework. This coursework includes mastering skills including but not limited to joint mobilization, joint manipulation, full body neuromuscular assessment and treatment. Dr. Smith believes that at the heart of every good physical therapy session is conversation. We live in a fast paced world where medical appointments are often rushed. During the evaluation process she takes time to listen to each patient’s story and puts significant time into finding the true root of the issue at hand. She loves educating people on how to understand and manage their own body, putting a large emphasis on empowering patients to take control of their health.
